Effectiveness & Properties
ODACON® is an aqueous emulsion of steam-fugacious saturated alkylamines of a chain length of > C15. It has pH-value increasing, dispersing and surface-stress lowering effects in
the phase boundaries.
This has an intensifying effect on the nucleate boiling and improves the drop condensation.
Irrespective of the properties and the quality of the medium protective layers, which are resistant to the substances present in steam- and water-circuits, are formed on the metal surfaces.
The ecological advantages of ODACON® are owed to the low application concentrations of the agent resulting in a reduction of the chemical contamination of the environment.
The high biodegradability is a further advantage in this context and is proven by the following parameters of the maximum application concentration:
The temperature resistance of the ODACON® up to temperatures > 550 °C and its effectiveness in pH-values of 1-2 (acidic gas scrubbing) allows universal applications.
The analytical determination of the ODACON®agent is carried out with a detection limit of 20 µg/l photo-chemically and can also be carried out as an on-site quick-test using a colour-code card indicator.
