Dear ODACON® family,

as we step into a new season, we want to extend our warmest greetings to each and every one of you. We hope this message finds you well and thriving in your respective endeavors.

In the spirit of sharing good news and fostering collaboration, we are delighted to bring you some exciting updates from our corner of the industry that have marked the first month of 2024.

Elevating Nuclear Applications with ODACON®:

We are thrilled to announce the delivery of ODACON® for three nuclear applications in Canada, Spain, and Argentina, in collaboration with our esteemed partner Framatome GmbH. What makes these orders even more special is the fact that they come from existing customers who have chosen ODACON® for corrosion protection during offline periods. It is a testament to the trust our clients place in our products.

Cooperation Across Continents:

Our partnership with Visentia in New Zealand has flourished with a new order for ODACON® products. Despite the challenges of long-distance shipping, the increasing number of ODACON® users in New Zealand is a proof to the product's efficacy. Notably, we are witnessing a growing trend in the use of ODACON® during boil-out with outperforming results. Additionally, our first projects in Australia are in the pipeline, further expanding our global footprint.

New Applications in Electrode Boilers:

The industry landscape is evolving, with an increasing use of electrode boilers presenting new challenges for water chemistry. We are pleased to report positive results from our first application of ODACON® in electrode boilers, showcasing the effectiveness of the treatment. Because of high corrosion issues during commissioning ODACON® was chosen by the water treatment company together with the plant owner. Within hours a sharp decreasing of the iron concentration in boiler water was detectable. These promising results open new doors for us to address emerging challenges and provide effective corrosion protection solutions.

Framework Agreement Renewed between REICON and STEAG Power GmbH:

We are excited to announce the renewal of our framework agreement with STEAG GmbH. ODACON® continues to play a crucial role in the preservation of three power stations in Germany, operating under re-dispatch since 2017. These plants, vital for securing grid stability in southwest Germany, will see the first application of ODACON® at the Fenne power plant in Völkingen in March, where for the first time both units will be treated with ODACON®. We are proud to contribute to the longevity and efficiency of these power stations.

International Conferences: A Global Platform for Knowledge Exchange:

We are excited to share that we will be actively participating in three international conferences in March:

  • PPCHEM AGs PCIS Germany 2024 (March 12-13, Goslar, Germany)

  • SIAPWS, The Scandinavian (Nordic) International Association for the Properties of Water and Steam Nordic Committee Meeting (March 14-15, Oslo, Norway)

  • 7th Int'l Conference on Film Forming Substances (March 26-28, Prato, Italy)

These conferences provide a unique platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and staying at the forefront of industry advancements. We look forward to sharing insights, learning from esteemed colleagues, and contributing to the global discourse on the use of Film Forming Amines.

As we embark on this new year, we are grateful for your continued support and trust in our products. Our commitment to innovation, collaboration, and excellence remains unwavering.
